7/3/2023 0 Comments No excuses bible study![]() ![]() ![]() In this theological argument, Paul begins his case with every person’s need for the gospel, which is, namely, the fact of the wrath of God upon every member of the sinful human race who is without Jesus Christ. This is his magnum opus, his most extraordinary treatise for what the gospel is. In the book of Romans, the apostle Paul is writing to the church in Rome in order to present his most profound case for the gospel. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures (Romans 1:19-23). For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. Because that which is known about God is evident within them for God made it evident to them. ![]()
